Here Forever and Today, 2025
Cyanotype print on cotton, fan, archival pigment prints in frame, cardboard, found beads, and flock camera installation "Safety" at the Cost of All Others by Riley Ansa.

Here Forever & Today is a queer costume and photography project exploring visibility, self-expression, and agency for queer youth, elders, and beyond. Participants create wearable artifacts that serve as shields, statements, and celebrations of being seen as their true selves. Participants are then invited to reclaim the school photo ritual with a “reverse picture day,” further exploring how they want to be seen, when, and by whom.
This project prioritized a space that upholds collective self-determination by centering liberation, care, and resistance to compulsory surveillance.
